Youth Group Ministries

The Lake Villa United Methodist Church Youth Group seeks to be an effective outreach youth ministry, which establishes teens as committed followers of Jesus Christ. As these students are maturing, we hope to deepen their faith in Jesus so that they can stand on a solid foundation of Jesus Christ. It is our goal to instill core values and develop Christ like character that will enable our youths not just to survive, but to thrive in their schools and beyond into their adult life. Through Christ, the students of our church and community will find hope and realize their potential as never before. We desire to be involved in that process, preparing and equipping students with truth to live for.

Our purpose is to reach middle school and high school age students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make spiritually maturing disciples who are deepening in their relationships with God.

Our mission is to provide a safe, enjoyable, Christian experience for the youth in grades 6 through 12. The youth group will offer social and spiritual activities and participate in the community service projects.

Our vision is to be a community where teens find meaning, belonging, and purpose in a life based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

We meet most Sundays from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the church.

It is a time of fun, fellowship, understanding and worship.

Open to all youth in the 6th through 12th grades.

Our goal is to help them find God's love through Bible studies and provide

Opportunities for spiritual growth.

In addition to regular meetings, there are community service projects.

We try to schedule one fun event each month such as bowling, sledding, roller skating, frisbee gold, etc.

We feel these activities will build lasting relationships.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.
