Chili Cook Off

In the cold of winter nothing beats warm hearts and a hot bowl of Chili.  Contestants from the congregation brew up their best batch of Chili for everyone to taste and judge.  The diversity of our congregation can be seen by the variety of Chili at this event, everything from vegetarian to venison has been seen and eaten.  If you like it mild or you like it hot this is one event you won't want to miss.

Who can enter: Anyone that can make a pot of Chili.  Non-Chili makers often bring a desert or just an appetite.

Who can judge: If you are able to eat Chili than you can judge it.  Each person picks their favorite 3 Chili's

What's the prize: Fun, laughter and fellowship with one another.

What other food is available: For the people who don't like Chili there are hotdogs, salads (fruit, pasta, potato . .), Bread, Chips and deserts.

Is there anything else: A Chili Cook Off would not be complete without a ticket auction.  White elephant gifts are donated for this event then people buy tickets to put in a bucket for each gift and the tickets are pulled for the winner.  Often the winner of these strange gifts didn't purchase the tickets - more fun than a barrel of monkeys!
